The purpose of the event is to establish long-term work between suppliers and customers.
At the third Subcontract Exchange, contracts were signed for 16.3 billion tenge between the enterprises of the KAZ Minerals Group (“VostokCvetMet” LLP, “KAZ Minerals Aktogay” LLP and “KAZ Minerals Bozshakol” LLP) and domestic producers of “Novopek” LLP, “ComTrade Product” LLP and “IC textile” LLP. “This is the third exchange we hold, I think that next year we will continue this practice, since such events give a positive result in establishing and building long-term work between suppliers and customers,” said the head of “QazIndustry” JSC Alisher Abdykadyrov.
In early 2020, it is planned to provide technical support to selected small and medium enterprises, including assistance in obtaining international certificates and further reimbursement of costs incurred (from 70% of the amount of certificates), improving business processes and management practices, assistance in establishing and developing production and trade relations with major buyers and suppliers. Important for Kazakhstani manufacturers was the launch of the Supplier Development Service. “Today, as a co-curator from Kazakhstan, we launched a project together with the World Bank - this is the Supplier Development Service. Amount of funding from the World Bank to Euroconsultants S.A. is more than $ 6 million, while the amount intended to reimburse the costs of international certification is $ 3 million. This project aims to support the domestic producer to the necessary level of competitiveness, which will allow it to become a potential supplier for large customers of the raw materials and manufacturing sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan ”, - said Alisher Abdykadyrov at a plenary meeting following the results of the ІІІ "Subcontract Exchange" in Nur-Sultan.
In 2017, according to the results of the Exchange, 6 cooperation contracts were concluded between domestic companies. In 2018, 8 contracts were signed, the purpose of which is to promote the goods of domestic producers in the domestic market and promote the development of import-substituting industries.
Among the participants of the Exchange are “Eurasian Group”, “Kazzinc”, “Kazakhmys Corporation”, “Kaztemirtrans”, “North Caspian Operating Company N.V.”, “KAZ Minerals Group”, “Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V.”, “PSA Kazakhstan”, “ArcelorMittal Temirtau”, “AgromashHolding KZ”, “Kostanai Minerals”, “MMC Kazakhaltyn” and other domestic producers of machine-building, mining, metallurgical, chemical, oil and other industries.
