About the company
AlbaStroyDor LLP
AlbaStroyDor LLP was established on September 22, 2010.
The core activity of the company is processing of metallurgical products wastes - blast-furnace slags.
History
The blast furnace slag processing site was built shortly after the blast furnace was put into operation at the Karaganda Metallurgical Plant in the early 60s of the XX century. Later, the crushing and screening complex was put into operation. Blast-furnace and granulated slag was used for the needs of the metallurgical plant, partly for the needs of the city, as a bulk material, incl. dyke reinforcement on the river Nura.
Crushed stone obtained at the slag-processing area served as raw material for the production of reinforced-concrete products by the company.
By 2010, millions of tons of technogenic waste, including blast-furnace slag and waste coal were accumulated in the dumps of ArcelorMitall Temirtau JSC. The share of waste disposal was 30% as maximum.
The urgency of the problem of blast furnace waste recycling
Economy
According to the main characteristics, most of the stored waste is a valuable raw material for the preparation of cementing and non-metallic materials.
The continuously increasing amount of technogenic waste generated during the extraction of fossil raw materials and fuel, their processing and use, leads to the fact that the storage of waste ceases to be economically justified.
The shortage of road construction materials and increase in the price of land entails a sharp increase in the cost of roads construction. One of the most expensive components is the road construction, the cost of which materials is not less than 60% of the estimated cost of roads.
Ecology
The growing mass of industrial waste is one of the main factors of adverse environmental impact.
The use of mineral natural materials in road construction leads to a change in soil landscapes and a decrease in the volume of subsoil resources.
Solution
Integrated use of raw materials, industrial waste and by-products:
- release of valuable land plots alienated as dumps
- preservation of natural landscapes in case of refuse using natural materials and reduction of adverse environmental impact during industrial waste storage
- meeting the needs of the processing and manufacturing industries for raw materials
- reduction of capital costs per unit of production and reduction of their payback period
- reduction of non-productive expenses of the main production associated with waste storage, construction and operation of storage facilities for them
- reducing the consumption of heat and electric power for new products due to technological readiness of waste.
AlbaStroyDor company’s team is successfully engaged in solving these problems, daily producing sufficient quantities of high-quality granulated slag and crushed stone for the needs of industrial enterprises by processing metallurgical wastes.
Company Development Plan
Our plans include the construction of warehouses for storing raw materials and finished products, increasing the volume of processing of industrial waste from the blast furnace production and increasing the range of finished products.
We plan to expand the scope of application of the slag-processing area products and create new jobs by opening a new unique production of cementing materials for the construction and road sectors, using international best practices.
One of the new directions of the company is to carry out research and development (R&D).
We have embarked upon an ambitious project to create a comprehensive solution for the production of SLAG-ALKINE CEMENTING MIXTURES AND RELATED PRODUCTS with the development of the unique author's technology “FutGenCem”.
